Zach is a civil engineer with over 10 years of combined experience in heavy civil construction and environmentally focused engineering design, with a specialization in irrigation structures, water diversion systems, and fish-friendly diversions. His background spans both field and office roles, including project management, surveying, construction oversight, and design engineering for projects ranging from $10K to over $5M throughout the Pacific Northwest and Southeastern U.S.
He brings a unique perspective to his work, having started his career in the field as a laborer and working his way up to project manager and engineer—giving him a strong appreciation for constructibility, efficiency, and collaboration. Certified in Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he has extensive experience preparing engineering design plan sets, cost estimates, and feasibility analyses.
