Jeanne McFall, PE

President and Principal Engineer

Jeanne is native to Idaho, where she loves to fish, bow-hunt, and raise her two sons with her husband. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from CalPoly, San Luis Obispo and a Master’s degree in Bio/Ag Engineering with the University of Idaho, Center for Ecohydraulics Research. She was also a Ph.D. candidate but a few classes shy of graduation when she landed her first dream job working for Idaho’s natural resources. Jeanne spent her early career in consulting and academic research working for NOAA-Fisheries evaluating river restoration throughout the Pacific Northwest. Jeanne has 26 total years of specialized experience addressing fisheries needs and providing solutions in stream restoration design, habitat resilience, fish passage, fisheries structures, hatchery design, and hydraulics.

In 2019, Jeanne founded RIVHAB, PLLC. She’s an avid supporter of the local community and non-profit organizations, especially those supporting women, STEM, fisheries, and natural resources. In 2024, Jeanne was selected as Idaho’s Small Businessperson of the Year and accepted her award in Washington DC.

Looking ahead, Jeanne's goal for RIVHAB is not simply growth — it is permanence and legacy. She is building a firm with the technical depth, the culture, and the reputation to outlast her. She has committed to employee ownership to empower the team that supports her. A firm that continues to deliver transformational work on the West's most important watersheds long after she has stepped back. That is the measure of success she is working toward: not what she has built, but what endures.
